For a high octane shooter it's phenomenal how boring it is - endless stages of the same damn rooms and corridors punctuated by woefully uninspiring shootouts. Haven't picked Atraxa up to play since June. This year whenever I think I might dismantle a deck, it always winds up going. I adore a Maze's End deck but I'm always the only player excited by the win and that's not the environment I love in EDH.

2024 game backlog, no. 16 - Tekken 5 (PS2)

One of the PS2's greatest fighters. Hefty, robust gameplay, with a massive roster and a fun story. Bonus Devil Within game is a load of toss though, and the final boss is the franchise's cheatiest yet.

3 - The Simpsons: Hit & Run (PS2)

Played because of nostalgia, but it should've stayed in my memories. Exceptional references, world design, etc, but a dreadful game to actually play with little mission variance and wild swings in difficulty.

Simply fantastic. Slightly baffles me that this is a PS1 title; it's miles ahead of either of its prequels in every conceivable respect. Exceptional fighting game, and definitely a great last entry before the jump to the next gen

Been racing through a replay in time for the MTGxFallout release! It's had its criticisms over the years (many very fair) but I still like it - some railroady quests and roleplaying don't reduce the Capital Wasteland that much for me!

Just finished the 1st season of The Bad Batch (I know, a bit behind as per usual). Like a lot of non-movie Star Wars content seems to be these days, thought it was a bit of a slow stuttering start but it led into a really impressive and fun finale The 2nd half of the season in particular was mostly a string of good episodes that properly cemented the series as moving from the Clone War era into the new Empire.

Now all the Doctor Who decks have arrived I can rock this pile of nonsense! If only they'd printed a whole draft set of WHO, but alas.

Premise of the deck is straightforward - use Vorthos as the best ramp spell ever, slap down cheap spells, get some huge cascade triggers, and either win by hitting people with The Doctor (and the Doctor and the Doctor and the Doctor and...) or get the peak Gallifrey Stands win!

For all I like #Ahsoka I do worry a little that it's by far the most intra-referential show yet for nu-#StarWars. Like to get the most from it you need to have seen TCW, Rebels, Mando + played at least Fallen Order, + read Zahn's books and I wonder how sustainable a model that is

Took the time to listen to all of Ghost recently. Love the earlier stuff, like a Satanic, doom-fuelled Blue Oyster Cult. Later records a bit more arena rock-y - still good, but didn't hit the same.
