Mail day! Latest round of Pokemon cards for the cube - this time its from Team Rocket so we get the powerful but lower HP Dark monsters. We've also got our first promo for the cube, the Mew in the lower right which is from around the release of the first movie
@euphoriagremlin Nightly Garbage run is a must have for any pre-Neo deck, since the biggest danger of base-fossil/rocket/gym is decking out. Oak and bill just make it too easy.
@Roundcat That's interesting! I suspect it'll actually be a little more like "useful utility" in my cube since it's singleton, so card draw effects like Oak and Bill are a touch harder to come across!
@lovestha Yeah some sort of red marker pen that must've been put on it at some point. I tend to prioritize buying poor, played, or damaged cards for the cube to keep the cost down and because it means you know these cards have had a history and a bit of character, you know? So, this Mew was marked and therefore dirt cheap 😂
@lovestha in fact if you look super closely it looks like where some kid has tried to write a 1 in front of the HP to make this Mew 3 times harder to kill 😅 I just it, it's a little glimpse into the history of this card!
