@blinry Very interesting. However got a few corrections - the digital radio on 178 MHz is DAB+(probably the nation-wide multiplex on channel 5C), not DRM+ which is on the same band as FM radio. And wavelength decreases as frequency increases, so when going to shortwave from VHF, the wavelength increases - hence bigger antenna. Anyways, loved the shots fired at the local 'security by obscurity' laws.

So there is some media coverage because of McDonalds's self service kiosks no longer having an user interface in Russian.

@arnie_dxer Youtube is full 25 fps. On TV at least the graphics seem 50 fps. God forbid this became a trend, especially as the people who grew up with Youtube reach adulthood. It is a serious downgrade that we are taking TV to cinema framerates IMHO, especially for live events.

    Interesting that not all HD stations identify using their FCC callsign. Example from Lone Star 92.5.

    Also, I am quite a radio nerd as evident from having bought a radio for the US market(Estonian FM also plays quite well and it supports international channel spacing).

    Emmm what happened to FMSCAN?!

    It now requires me to log into FMLIST or MWLIST...

    Not that it's a problem to me 😝 but if you just want to check what you might be hearing on a particular frequency or generate those fancy maps of a transimtter or an entire radio network's coverage, just for fun -- then it might be a hurdle.

    As a Geography BSc, I couldn't help but notice. The coordinates on Zelenskyy's clothing appear to be in the middle of Ukraine. 46.3794°N 31.1656°E.

    Some MW DXing: Picked up Kabul after a long time on 1107 kHz. Quite a good signal this evening. Looks like the station is called Radio Afghanistan again? I heard an ID of Afghanistan Mili Radio.
