Three weeks ago we adopted a 60 lb male rescue puppy. Even with his physical and emotional issues, he is settling into our home and routine. His cone should come off later this week as his wounds are healing. He is quickly attaching and loves to snuggle and take long walks.

    In my experience, working hard is always an individual choice. So are you saying you are a hard worker in spite of the fact that you, at some point, become wealthy by being in right place at the right time?

    Agree on the misinterpret part. Just knowing that tax and inheritance laws favor the wealthy causes me to wonder about your logic. The vast majority of hard workers I know have not/are not creating luck. Go back to the drawing board.

    Certain friends and family cannot communicate with me about tfg and gqp because they are big into projection. Anything that tfg or gqp have done is always something the deep state has been doing for twice as long and twice as bad (without any documentation). Hopeless!

    After spending 5 days in the hospital in November with pleural effusion, I am vigilant. It doesn't help that my doctors can't tell me what is causing my illness. So it's vaccine and masking for this one!

    I usually notice coincidences and little things; I've always been that way. Over the last month or two, I've been seeing repeating numbers everywhere. It's really to the point where it's nuts. 111, 222, 333, etc. Just a few minutes ago, I ordered something online, and the receipt number was all repeating numbers, and the time of the transaction was 11:11! That kind of thing has been happening ALL day every day. So odd!!! What the heck?🤷‍♀️

    My significant other is very tuned into synchronicity. She happily announces "it's 3:33" practically daily. You can interchange any repeating numbers. It's cute cuz she doesn't do it incessantly. I should probably encourage her to play the lottery, but we are carefully budgeting right now, I know my medical bills will take some💲

    I hate spending money and spending the weekend in the hospital and getting the diagnosis of #pneumonia. Same as three weeks ago.

    But I guess they could still find some coronary issues tomorrow.

    Or we can chalk it up to #LongCovid since I had a bad round 6 months ago. Headache, breathing issues, sore gut, etc. Feeling #worthless.

    I have to be honest, no matter how flawed the IEP program may be, it was very helpful for our emotionally delayed child to successfully complete public school in Colorado and the Florida. They even completed their Associates of Arts program at nearby state college.

    The framework allowed us parents to be advocates in a mostly peaceful manner.

    Thank you for going the extra mile and helping those kiddos (and parents) from throwing in the towel. 🥇

    A group of turtles basking on a log in the middle of the pond. While windy, the temperature was quite warm and the sun finally came out after days of needed rain.
    Bright sun with small reflective ripples on the surface of a lake surrounded by trees. A few clouds.
    Park picnic table on cement slab. There are trees, mostly cottonwood going through the typical autumn changes. Mostly at a yellow stage right now but with the ongoing wind and cold temperatures that are coming, probably will not last long.

    Update for those following this:

    This drive home is more brutal than most. We spoke to father in law as we drove, told us he’s ready to go, wishes it wd happen “as peaceful & easy” as his wife went. Sigh. Not easy to hear. He’s under hospice care, nothing imminent though.

    Backstory: yrs of congestive heart failure finally taking its toll. He’s 97(!). Still sharp.

    We leave Portland for Medford, OR today, then to Sacramento, then home to SoCal.

    That's a heavy load. Sorry. My 96 y/o dad is also in hospice and desires to be with my mom who died in 2021.
