There is a first usable version of a Mastodon client app written with CAPI available:

https://codeberg.org/louis77/cl-mastoclient

A pre-built binary for Linux x64 is available on Codeberg, too.

The app is very simple, just downloads your statuses (meaning, your own posts) from your instance and let's you search through them after it finished. A double-click opens the post in the browser.

It should work with any Mastodon™️ compatible server.

In case any #LispWorks users with DV licenses for Win/MacOS/FreeBSD, let me know if you can deliver it.

@louis looks good! Maybe a GTK port could be made if lisp works not possible

Today I've learned the first release of CLISP (one of the GNU common lisps) was for the Atari ST

@louis if you still have it, you should try it out and post about it!

heyo fedisphere!

my t shot is due in a few days and since i don't have an endocrinologist in brisbane yet, we have to make the 1000km drive back to sydney to see my old endo and then back to brisbane, rip.

we don't get paid until the day after my appointment so we need some help with money for gas / food for the drive, and also cat food and litter as we are almost out.

anything you can donate would be much appreciated!

Hey hey, wrote up a little post about writing about other people's music. Short version: I'm going to do more of it and I'm going to start putting it on my blog. And still here, too, but also there. For archives and shit.

Anyway, the link:

@etherdiver could you link your RSS feed on your blog somewhere visible?

It's here: http://etherdiver.com/feed

@etherdiver I put it in my header. You seem to have a hamburger menu (which is empty on Firefox mobile at least), so maybe there?

crmsnbleyd,
@crmsnbleyd@emacs.ch avatar

@etherdiver I think whatever software you're using for your website is auto generating the feed so you don't need to do anything

lem is awesome. I was thinking of writing a book abt creative programming using a lisp (cc @zyd ur invited), and had the cursed thought to go ahead with racket because of the whole integrated deal they have with a cross platform editor and package manager etc, but lem just works fine on windows and also has really easy ways to download and use libraries.

crmsnbleyd,
@crmsnbleyd@emacs.ch avatar

@louis @zyd to be very honest I forgot about it :p

seems like a very reasonable starting point, and lem might have some usability issues for a complete newbie anyway.

My experience using drRacket and racket in general for like an hour was not great
