Oops, I think I broke my Calckey/Firefish test instance. The database seems to be in a weird place and my back up doesn't seem to work. I might just install it fresh since there's not much on it anyways

I have written some godawful Rust but the tiered TTL-based caching system for my new site works. Might split the caching bits off into a dedicated crate but we'll see. Currently goes memory (30 seconds) -> SQLite (10 minutes) -> re-render. So updates to pages would take ~10 minutes to go live.

I sometimes think about my old creative writing and just cringe.
I was enamored with MMOs and wanted to write in-character for the virtual world I was playing as weekly character journals. It eventually devolved into a half fourth wall breaking thing talking about playing with people around the world, and I think that's where I stopped. I don't think I ever want to go back and read those but I do think about them from time to time

I did it, I set up a Calckey instance at @foxis! It's very fragile but it's working. I need to stabilize the database and then I might move to it as my main account. I'm not sure yet

I want to make a cross-platform GUI application that preferably doesn't use Electron. What language should I go for? I'm only really competent in C# and Python, and I'm always tempted by Rust, but I don't know of any good solutions for those three.
