With a switch to a new phone, I have taken the decision to fully get rid of X/Twitter. So can we please make this here to place to be for the perfect mix of academia talk and misc stuff? Currently I feel that LinkedIn is winning the X/Twitter replacement game for exchange about new research etc. But I'd much prefer to have this conversation here. Now, we are starting w/panel on Media Representation of AI. Onurhan Ak from Queenโ€™s University on fieldwork in AI research lab. In the face of unstructured data, AI research needs (1) standardization (struggling with very diverse sets of data, as in press releases, news articles, โ€ฆ), and (2) association (most data lacks unique ID, so you donโ€™t know that data is referencing the same entity). Thatโ€™s why social media data is so attractive for AI research. #unstable23 /@Milieux_news

Wondering to set up a second personal #MastodonAccount to disentangle (and contextualise) my #ENLanguage academic interactions from/with my rather #DELanguage interactions on #Berlin, #Mobility, #Politics etc. I actually did like to have those different personas and context integrated on #Twitter. But I have the feeling that it might make sense to find a different home for the #DEStuff on Mastodon than aoir.social. How do you handle that?
