I am looking for a solution to my email problem. I need a searchable backup system for all my emails and make room on the servers. Preferrably in a format that's (:gitannex: #gitAnnex) sync friendly (e.g. all just .eml files). A terminal-based Thunderbird alternative would also be nice. I see there's #mbsync #mutt #neomutt #supMail #nmail #alpine and so many more but no concise overview with feature comparison. What would you recommend?

@nobodyinperson I store my mail locally in a Maildir (these are text files), sync it with mbsync aka isync and read it with neomutt (which is very nice to play with and customize). I heard that there is notmuch for indexing but I didnโ€˜t really need it until not, so canโ€˜t say anything about that.

@QasimRashid In modern world, not having internet access means not being able to participate in social and public life.
However, an iPhone? These overpriced things own the purpose of showing your โ€žstatusโ€œ. Buying them instead of any other cheaper device (which gives you the same possibilities) in a limited financial situation is rather a sign of poor understanding of finances.
P. S. not be misunderstood: I donโ€˜t want to say that being poor is the result of oneselfโ€˜s inabilities
