I just installed EndeavorOS on an HP Spectre360 that’s roughly 2 years old. I am honestly surprised at how easy it went. If you google it, you’ll get a lot of “lol good luck installing linux on that” type posts - so I was ready for a battle....
Daily reminder that sites “protected” by cloudflare are effectively MITM attacks. HTTPS is now even more worthless. Cloudflare can see everything. this is a known fact and not a theory....
I explicitly block Cloudflare and Google domains fully, until and unless it is a website with no privacy repercussions or throwaway account possibilities. If it is something I legally purchase and requires their captcha, I can tolerate it unless I can avoid.
People are too used to submitting or cucking themselves. I am not such a person.
Why did the US lobby so hard to get Huawei off market? Because of course there are backdoors into the Chinese intelligence agencies. JUST LIKE US DEVICES!
Keep being the crazy uncle ranting about government spying because the world needs it.
Dunning-Kruger Pro max ultra. Believing in nonsense like crazy uncle is never helpful.
Huawei was banned because Apple, the national tech brand of USA, was butt hurt that Huawei overtook it in marketshare globally. And that Huawei refused to bake in NSA backdoors into Huawei devices with no backdooring. Western Big Tech dislikes that people can have any hardware that is clean of NSA backdoors, otherwise it would have been possible long ago to have commonly available backdoor free hardware in western countries.
Just because western countries do crazy shit, does not mean every country does.
There was no verification. It was propaganda created by USA’s Bloomberg as part of its annually funded agenda to defame China.
Yes I like China because they are a morally great country, do good for their citizens, help keep PPP high for most people on earth, and do not bomb or genocide whoever they like. They also hang to death corrupt rich people, drug traffickers and sex traffickers.
Supermicrochip conspiracy had zero validity in any shape, size or form.
For those unfamiliar, GrapheneOS is a privacy and security enhanced custom ROM endorsed by Snowden. Despite these big names, plenty of people give it backlash...
You do not find the claims overblown, you only intend to maliciously distort legitimate criticisms as such. The project is not good, and there is nothing meaningful about it compared to other projects like CalyxOS. The only proactive thing they do is shill Big Tech security, Brave (Chromium), Google account for Play Store and other stuff to people. People who protect its trolling and malicious nature are either straight up stupid or bad actors.
Is your concern bootloader attacks, and an implied need to use custom ROMs that specifically allow unlocking and relocking bootloader, and phone models that can do this?
Firstly, there is no evidence or independent auditing of GrapheneOS being immune to such attacks any more than the average Android phone that has not been unlocked. Secondly, Pixels are vulnerable to kits like Cellebrite.
CalyxOS allows the same things as GrapheneOS, and is a perfectly valid alternative to use if you really believe in Pixel security. I am not a believer in Google or Big Tech security. You are blindly trusting another extra component (Google proprietary chip), introducing a massive risk factor in your threat model just because some loonies on internet claim Pixels to be not just secure, but imply they are “Titan” levels of immune and hacker proof.
You can instead learn to work without unlocking or rooting phone, using ADB or Shizuku, like how I advocate things with my non root smartphone guide. There is a reason why I picked the best fit path possible to harden any Android phone, and anyone can use those methods.
Not very good man… an extremely rough life in the past 6 months or so. Trying to pick up pace with life. Had a spinal injury, still addressing mental health issues regarding childhood trauma, incredibly disturbed sleep for the past few years, among many many things. The past year and a half has taught me the most things about life.
Happy to see you are benefitting from my advice, and getting the results. And I definitely do not hate you. People who manage to get around my arrogance initially find that I am not that bad lol. I am really blunt and straightforward, and I do receive backlash for it, but I am okay with it. People do discover I counterbalance the arrogance massively in good ways, and that makes it worth it.
Having a family atleast helps bring peace. I recommend you try journalling and things like Chinese tea, insanely therapeutic and helps with unpacking and unloading experiences. Bringing that extra level of meditative calmness helps stabilise the monkey dancing in the head. This way you can get down to dissecting where problems lie, can take some time but always works.
Dr Huberman podcast is something you can check. He covers everything you need on a medical level.
What is this level of grand security that requires blind trust in Google and its proprietary security chip? Why do other phones keep getting not hacked if they are so flimsy and insecure? How do we know these chips aren’t just like Intel ME or Apple’s numerous security chips or old Snapdragon Hexagon DSD chip devices that now have permanent hacked backdoors? Are you telling people to trust Google?
Android project is open source, unlike Google’s proprietary hardware.
GrapheneOS has not once been independently vetted for security, or tested against kits like Cellebrite. On top of it, they have lied about testing. i.imgur.com/woNxPhx.jpg
Nobody cares about this semantic debate perversion. Everybody knows what it means, but some terms simply get culturally accepted. And there is nothing personally offensive about “custom ROM”. Get over it. This term has existed since CyanogenOS and custom ROMs before it existed when Android Market was a thing on Cupcake.
Or maybe… the mod log does not carry over properly? Also some of the mod log also needs cleaning because there are CSAM/scat/gore image links and toxic content by banned posters.
Glad that you see through this reverse fat shaming. Apparently this is a thing these days. Every person that is healthy must have shady narratives, just because they choose to prioritise their mental and physical health over unlimited pizzas and Netflix.
Please read the paper by Ken Thompson, co-creator of Unix and C, on why we should be able to trust the developer and NOT the code. cs.cmu.edu/…/Thompson_1984_ReflectionsonTrustingT… Trusting unstable people like these is a huge risk.
There have been a lot of fatfluencer deaths lately, and it is a good sign for society to step back from some of this nonsense that is tacked as progressivism. Being unhealthy and carefree is not progressive, it is a mental issue, and a chunk of internet society has decided to make the world like themselves - insecure, traumatic, unhealthy, undisciplined, narcissistic, sociopath, deranged, selectively understanding of others and so on. They even think emotional coping actually works, when the psychiatry literature and studies show otherwise.
Journalling is a very intimate exercise and an endeavour pertaining to your real self. In your case, family as well. Do not make everything electronic in your life, keep many things mechanical. This is the true concept of privatelife I advocate for.
It is not necessary that you use fancy colour pens and glitters. A pen and pencil do well. The main thing is what is outputted on paper.
The removed comment is always shared with reason in modlog, for which content is removed. You can go check this yourself. I do not know why you insist otherwise.
TheAnonymouseJoker is a clown (imo, no harassment or anything) Talked with them on the subject of privacy emails and they recommended services that store mail unencrypted and logs your ip address and stuff
Anyone with a brain will openly tell you that Riseup and Disroot are far superior email providers than ProtonMail. Your beliefs are utterly stupid regarding how emails work and how good or bad email providers are. Just letting everyone know you claimed ProtonMail is better than Disroot.
Ask the experts and activists who use these things, instead of being an armchair judge.
Funny because this user’s history is all comments promoting GrapheneOS via links and praise. Blocking me is not a W. I will not block this chap and keep an eye on his endorsement.
Facebook/Meta takes the metadata of WhatsApp, which I addressed in comment. The difference wrt encryption and how the platform works is far different compared to Facebook, because it was acquired originally and is meant for different target audiences.
I asked duckduckgo chat whether duckduckgo respects the privacy of their users...
This is the reply:...
