ok I got another recording of the thing finally. This was recorded on a faster computer than my laptop, so unfortunately it doesn't have the really cool long convergence artifact thing going on. I really hate what the video encoding is doing here, but such is life.

it's a video of a rotating abstract ring thingy that is light by several lights which create colorful shadows. the video encoding is terrible, but it looks ok I guess

@fasterthanlime Pokemon Gold/Silver hqd a Gym Leader named Whitney. Her main Pokemon is a Miltank (basically a cute punk cow) whose main attack was Rollout, a move that gets increasingly powerful as long as it hits up to a 5-combo. Miltank tanks quite fine and hits hard. If you weren't trying other moves than attacking, you'd have a hard time facing her.

Basically, she's the wake-up call for many young players trying to go through the game with one single pokemon.

@fasterthanlime It's almost a puzzle boss. Well, you can still try to tank the hits or swap around with sacrificial tokens, but I feel like you had to look out for a Zubat knowing Confusion or lessen her precision by using Flash in order to have chances of breaking the streak and resetting the attack's power.

I've been aware of the idea since my late teens or early twenties or so, but I've really come to appreciate in the last couple of years to what degree the information your senses tell you is subjective to the point of approaching total fiction.

Hello the Fediverse! I'm looking for a simple webradio server software that'd work without taking too much time configuring everything.

Years ago I used to run MPD and IceCast but I never felt satisfied with how clunky it felt, so if you have a better software setup, I'd be happy to look into it!

fascinating. the Ocarina of Time PC port has an option to speed up how long it takes for king zora to scoot out of the way, but it lacks an option to slow it down

@Sophie Oh, weird. Can you run the code without a syntax error with that? Last time I tried I had one because the block comment was ended prematurely due to the image's header

@Sophie Also, given that the userdata is left as it uncommented, the function will be called during execution. It might be a good idea to poke a certain Zep to ask him for a comment-compatible alternative!

Imagine all those 3D math libraries with pictures annotating the code! Or bundling Math formulas rendered with LaTex or a cousin! :O
