I've been up about 3 hours, listening to tunes. Might as well share some?

Prompted by someone who's first memory of catchy instrumentals forgot about the early 60s. Instrumentals were big from 1940, to 1960s. I've seen folks dancing to this one.

One of those can't do anything days, cold outside, still damp, some flurries, and I've been out, or I wouldn't have bothered to dress. I think I might have a hot shower and crawl in bed and hope I wake up for the evening news.
(I've been quite sick recently, I need rest)

Once I shut down my PC, I'm not online much. I'll probably pop back at some ungodly hour, slept out

In the summer, in my rural home, ladies would cover their heads, when bats swoop to catch the mosquitoes that the carbon dioxide of your body attracts.

I have an old home, the wood that bats are attracted to, like old barns, the wood is 100+ years old.

When I replaced windows, I had to go around and manually gather the bats and put them out before the new window. That was 2008. I bought a bat hotel for them. Never saw one since. One year, all our disappeared.

@johnefrancis I hope that WNS doesn't hit there. One year, they were everywhere, and the bathouse has never had a bat. We lost all our bats

@Susan60 Very sad. My wife isn't as fond of them because they flutter above her head, but I'm fascinated and concerned about them.

When we need a pee, we might say, "I need to see a man about a horse" Those things don't translate well

@Caiotekit Do you know, I never liked Math. I made up my mind that I was never going to use it, I wasn't going to be a rocket scientist. And then I became a Professional Engineer, and spent years of Physics, Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus and Rules of Thumb.
I'd brought that grief on myself by not paying attention to its value, in school

@Caiotekit Our trade structure got rid of all the non-academics long before my rank. But then they let some try again, by letting them relearn math, two weeks before the advanced course that didn't teach it, but tested detailed things. I didn't remember the formulas, and they would not give them to us. Luckily I remember weird stuff I read

@Caiotekit I love holding them. I was away and my wife raised out kids. My grandson and his mother moved in with us for a few years. I'm up early, and my daughter knew it. I was a full time nanny, I'd rock him, I had a little sway, I'd put on some Harry Bellefonte, and he's probably needing therapy for it now. But, he grew up knowing the greats.
When I wake early, I'm full of energy and love nothing better than rocking my grandchild for an hour
