Made my own instance. That wasn't so bad. Gonna work on it for a while and do some testing, then if all is well I shall make a move from JP. Phew, what a day!
I took the day off since I'm feeling pretty unwell and wouldn't be able to properly work, so I think I'll spend the day searching out a new instance, downloading sets to post in the future, and drip-feeding out some posts for the people who can see 'em.
So that's gonna be all for me! If anyone has any special requests I may accommodate if the spirit moves me, but I think I'm going to spend the remainder of my evening researching instances to see where a good new home may be. JP has served me well these past few months, but if they are gonna limit my account based on a post where all I did was talk about what I want to do with my account going forward (and didn't show any models at all) then this feels like a bad place to be.
@bjornqc I could give CA a shot, that's where I initially started. I might message staff from there to get their thoughts, and if they're amenable I could possibly migrate back there. Thanks for bringing this up!
It took me about 2 hours and 15 minutes to download, document and post those sets, while also taking time to pause and chat with folks and even do a slight repair to a set (that took about six minutes). All in all, me using this generic tag / alt text system has definitely saved me time.
I believe I only have two more Lass sets to go before I'm all out. She retired nearly 10 years ago, so once I'm out, that's it!
That model, Hylia, uploaded a set a few months ago and it has since been taken down. I already captured and posted that set when it was released, but I wasn't expecting a set to be removed from the SG site as quick as her last set was.

@admin Hi there, I've been having issues with my instance recently and am interested in moving to a new instance. I was wondering if the type of content I post / the frequency in which I post it could be suitable for Wasku Island. Feel free to inspect my profile further to confirm, but on average I post anywhere from 80-160 images a day, and it is almost all content from SuicideGirls.com (I also sporadically post images from a SG model's OF page).
@shad0wgoone Question for you, if you don't mind (although you may not be able to answer, but you're the only wasku person I've interacted with). Do you think your instance would welcome my kind of content? I'm looking for a new place since my current instance is jerking me around, and I'd like to find a new home for my content where my instance doesn't limit me for the images that I post.
Boy, a lot of crap sure went down in my replies while I was working today.
There's a good chance I'll be moving instances at some point soon if mstdn.jp doesn't reverse their decision to limit my account. I don't know where I'll end up quite yet, but yeah, from what I can really tell at this point based on all these conversations going on that I was tagged in, the big instances don't want me, the little instances don't want me, and a specialized instance would give me limited reach. Good times!
My account got limited because of my pinned admin post (only the first post out of the four), one of the most boring and innocuous posts on my entire account. I think some admin on this server may have lost their mind.
@otoha_miyamoto Haha, if the words "admin time", used to reference the the rules I'm setting for my own account, are what got me in trouble, then I don't think this instance and I are compatible anymore.
to all my (future) followers : sorry for the constant instancehopping but somehow I get booted a lot and I'm looking for an instance I can stay and post what I usually post without problems.
@Svenno@Thehedonist Not gonna read this whole thread that I got involved in quite yet, but I saw this post and had to laugh a little bit. I just got an email this morning from mstdn.jp stating my account has been limited because of my pinned post. Something in my very boring admin post has gotten me in trouble.
