Riding a bike burns about 50 Calories per mile. Burning a gallon of gas releases about 8,800 grams CO2e. By knowing how many grams of CO2 are emitted per Calorie of food, we can calculate the miles per gallon equivalent (in terms of GHG emissions) for biking depending on what you eat. @jenbanim I did something similar, but with calories instead of GHG. I nerded out and realized that walking was still a way more efficient spend of raw energy for distance travel than driving. Bikes are so much better that they become of the most efficient forms of individual travel we've ever made.
@CoffeeAddict I wish this was instituted as a set of regulations for social media in general. Things like personal data protections, and minor protections. Instead we got the laziest, least free market approach to it. It gives us a sense of accomplishment while still letting American social media run free and unrestrained with little accountability.

Passkeys (and FIDO in general) are amazing.
However, there was one problem with passthrough where it would use my security key instead of my password manager passkey. I wish OS's would standardize on a way to pick which key to use. Like a big prompt that lets you click your security key or your browser extension.
The confusion as to which key is being used could scare people away from passwordless auth altogether.
@archliberal It's not really right wing content. There is some "bothsidings" going on, but he actually calls out flaws in some of the people he is interviewing in post production. Those people are usually right wingers.
