Lately, it's "people can only be pro-life or pro-choice, not both" (specifically, #Chrishayes & @JoyceVance ).
Lots of folks, including me and @POTUS (think back to his CP debate with Paul Ryan), believe in "both".
Also missing (always has been) is that pro-lifers are actually pro-choice who chose "life" (for the unborn...it's a different story after they're born).
People might choose to personally be pro-life and let others make their own choices.
@CharJTF@JoyceVance I am particularly annoyed with libs these days. There are so many people who think that abortion is not a good moral choice forr them; yet, they don't impose their views on others because of the whole secular society thing and public policy thihng. POTUS has this belief. And , because of lib groups, he can't have an honest convresation with people.
...and for the last week, I've actually felt human 🤣
Last week, I got into bed without thinking about it. That was huge. And I got up the next morning, gathered my clothes, and walked into the bathroom. Without my walker. (Oops)
I'm now in the two-week period where I can put 75% of my weight on that leg. And my therapist will know what to do when I go for PT this week.
Other than an issue with the operating rooms (something happened that put them all out of order for almost an hour...my surgeon was not pleased), everything went well.
I had a different reaction in recovery this time because I couldn't stop shivering. I think I had nine warmed blankets on me by the time I got done. And then I slept.
I've met with PT and I'll be using a walker for the next six weeks. After that? I should be good to go 🙂
My hip replacement is scheduled for a week from Thursday (21 Sept). At last week's pre-op with my surgeon, I learned because my femur has thinned, this recovery will be slower than when the other hip was replaced in March 2020.
I'm getting a slightly different device, and I have to use crutches (no cane) for six weeks after to prevent issues.
Crutches. I've never had to use crutches before 😂 (I only broke my toes).
This is gonna be fun. (Not.) But hey, I'll be spending a lot of time reading!
