There's been a lot of scaremonger reporting on social media regarding the future of the #F1 Singapore Grand Prix.

To rewind, billionaire businessman Ong Beng Seng, the hotelier who was instrumental to bringing #F1 in Singapore, has been caught up in a corruption probe involving the country's transport minister, S. Iswaran.

Details of the charges have not been made public, other than a "notice of arrest" for Ong in connection with a corruption probe from the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.

Minister Iswaran has also been ordered to take a leave of absence from his government duties.

#F1 recently renewed its contract with the Singapore GP to host the race until 2028 inclusive.

While it's unclear what direct impact the investigation will have on the Grand Prix itself, its long term future are unlikely to be affected, given the economic benefit the #F1 race brings to Singapore and the region.

It's been over 10 years since Sebastian Vettel visited the #Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the 4 time #F1 World Champion certainly came correct.

Here is Vettel driving in a Williams Racing FW-14B from his personal collection, the same car that Nigel Mansell won his world championship in.

Vettel then drove another car from his personal collection, a #McLaren MP4/8 that Ayrton #Senna drove in the 1993 #F1 World Championship. Senna notched 5 victories in this car, and it has the distinction of being the car that Senna scored his final victory in #Adelaide with #McLaren.

A closer look at the bespoke helmet that Sebastian Vettel wore at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Designed by JMD helmets and with approval from the Ayrton Senna Foundation, the helmet blends #Senna's iconic blue, yellow and green helmet with Vettel's own helmet design, with a stripe of black, red and yellow representing the German flag running front to back.

Favourite detail is the "GOODWOOD" stripe on the top of the visor styled to look like the Kenwood logo.

The last day of action at the #Goodwood Festival of Speed is now live. Sebastian Vettel was due to make an appearance on Saturday but the event was cancelled due to weather and wind. He will be driving today instead.

This year's Central Feature at the #Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates #Porsche's 75th Anniversary. The soaring, gravity defying sculpture is designed by Gerry Judah and has a mix of Porsche production cars & race cars mounted on it. They include the Porsche 962 GTP, 963 LMDh and the 804 #F1 car.

#Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its LMH / LMDh challenger, the SC63 today, developed in collaboration with Ligier Automotive. The car will be run and operated by Iron Lynx Racing.

The SC63 was unveiled today during the #Goodwood Festival of Speed.

@itsmealexander Good. Iron Lynx are a young team (founded in 2017) but they have sprawling operations across multiple series, including WEC and IMSA. This will prepare the team well operationally going into top tier prototype racing. Drivers TBD but that will be a big factor in how they do.

🚨 In a Bombshell announcement this morning, Alpha Tauri confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will be racing with the team for the rest of the 2023 #F1 season, replacing Nyck de Vries with immediate effect.

The Apple Original film (provisionally titled "Apex") is filming at the British Grand Prix today. Here is the fictional APX GP "#F1" car on the starting grid.

Extra formation laps will be taken at today's race to accommodate filming.

As for the cars themselves, they are being run & operated by Carlin Racing. They are #F2 cars underneath but dressed up in #F1 bodywork.

@WhombeX The cars do work but were not shown on camera (the broadcast prioritizes the front of the grid during the shots). They were driven by stunt drivers with helmet mounted cameras. The cars pitted before the end of the formation lap.

@JediFella It was nice to see British drivers represented on the podium. Definitely more race action in WEC. Wished the timing didn't overlap but as drivers always say "it is what it is".

@ben @mxhdroom Crowdstrike has been in the Motorsport sponsorship space for a while. There's a business case to be made for cybersecurity companies to be involved given the amount of data racing generates. Kaspersky was also a Scuderia Ferrari sponsor for a good long while.
