Anyone else hoping that their relatives get the #Netflix :netflix: password sharing notice so we can stop paying for a family Netflix account, or just me?
There's lots of TV shows which I'd love to see 'A Making of...' for. I'd definitely watch a show about making Hunted, Race Across The World, or The Circle.

The Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce will honor rocker Sammy Hagar with the 2,779th star...
The #ThursdayFiveList from @neurothing is all about #TheCircle or things that are round this week. I’m late to the show and some of these have been posted already. Oh well.
1.) John Coltrane - Giant Steps
This song is often used to illustrate/teach the musical concept of circle of fifths, around which it’s built; it’s how I learned about it, and weirdly, it’s the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the prompt. https://songwhip.com/johncoltrane/giant-steps
> Я не забув і досі тримаю скло в руці
> Готовий першим довести
> Усе що розбиваєш повертається завжди
> Ти маєш те що маєш, час відповісти
> I didn't forget and I still hold a piece of glass in my hand
> I'm ready to be the first to prove:
> Everything you shatter always comes back
> You have what you have, it's time you answer
(An alleyway in the dark, weaved with cables) [Abstract Hip-Hop]
> просто ти ходиш по колу В безпамятній комі
> Але забув
> Де усе так знайоме, Ти бачиш це вкотре,
> повтори повторів по колу
> але це не дежаву
> you're just walking in circles, in a mindless comma
> but you forgot
> Where everything is so familliar, you are seeing it another time
> Repetitions of Repetitions in a circle
> But it's not a dejavu
> Що наснилось мені, те пропало.
> Що знайшлось, те згубилось, нестало.
> Тіні сплять на стіні та й лишилось мені,
> Як знамення, це місячне гало.
> What I've seen in dreams, that is gone.
> What I've found, that is lost, vanished
> Shadows are sleeping on a wall and what I'm left with
> A moon halo, like an omen
[Ukrainian Folk Pop]
Prjalja – is a woman who spins (weaves) manually on a spinning wheel
It's an old folk song, first arranged in 1919 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovyč who was at the time arranging lost of Ukrainian folk songs, including "Ščedryk" which will later be re-arranged as "Carol of the Bells".
Also, this arrangement and music video heavily references Ukrainian folk-funk of the 70s when Ukrainian musicians had to navigate soviet bureacracy and censorship in order to revive Ukrainian folk music, which was heavily prohibited earlier with Ukrainians being forcibly deported to russian Siberian working camps for merely singing. In the process, Ukrainian musicians of the 70s-80s succeeded briefly and created a wholy unique "folk-funk" or "mustache funk" movement.
... I just can't just make a music post without a single backstory, can't I? :blobcatgiggle:
(Back to the Start) [Indie]
A Winged Victory for the Sullen has a wide discography. I was introduced to them with their self-titled album, which has fantastic song titles like We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, for the Earth Had Circled The Sun Yet Another Year.
An indeed this song is gentle open chords over ambient soundscapes. Much of the album is a textural joy, easy to make its way through tension and density.
