Playing with . Buildings, roads, and elevation of Miyajima, Japan.

And yes, building generation is ridiculously fast. But figuring out the NA vertices stopping me from engaging the power of path tracing is not. :P

Rail lines of Taiwan two ways. First, I only did the railways then I thought, why not show elevation as well to explain the way it is? Did you know it goes all the way around the island?! Impressive.

Trying something different—ports of the United Kingdom and Ireland. Could have done illuminated globes but am getting a tad tired of dark visualisations so I thought I'd try glass globes and labels this time.

Thoughts, suggestions welcome!

My 30 entries for #30DayMapChallenge 2023. Managed to do all save one (Day 5) with #rayshader, #rayrender, or #rayvertex in #rstats. Made possible by @tylermorganwall, who's created a marvellous world of light and shadow accessible with a language that's "only for stats".

Test render animation: flying through a town square, with thousands of individually rendering rooftops!

In implementing this feature, I've also added some major improvements to rayshader, particularly with render_path(), which now should draw lines much, much faster! Should make drawing large amounts of glowing 3D lines much faster, cc @terence 😀
