NeoFinder 8.5 can read special #SONY and #ARRI metadata out of your #MXF video files.
In particular, this includes details about the camera and lens used, the capture FPS (for slo-mo and time lapse), and textual data, such as production details.
This update includes the ability to back up and restore your Homebrew install! Effortlessly back up your packages and taps into a file, then restore from it later! This file is also compatible with Homebrew itself, so you can use it to restore Homebrew from the Terminal as well.
Most articles on showing sheets in SwiftUI apps show an example of a button with a .sheet modifier that shows the sheet. But if you try to apply the example to a menu in a Mac app, the sheet won’t show.
To get the sheet to show, you must add a focused value for showing the sheet and set the focused scene value in your main view.
Code and more details are in the following article:
I spent last week trying to compile minivmac-em from source—a Mini vMac port that runs in-browser. By default it's too fast for my games, and the speed is set at compile time. I couldn’t get it to work, but here’s what I tried. Let me know if you can help? https://mikepiontek.com/journal/minivmac-em.html#MacDev
Cork 1.3.2 will come out very soon, and it will include something very useful for the normal user and pro alike! Also coming: A fix for a very annoying bug
Just submitted a PR with a feature for @judoapp . This is where lexer, parser, interpreter + sophisticated text manipulation UI all come together. #buildinpublic#macdev#appleDev
We call it "expressions" and it's huge
✔️ scripting language
✔️ UI editor (where my TextKit experience pays off)
In Cork 1.4, I decided to add something small, but sweet to the status page:
An always-shown confirmation that all your packages are up to date! Previously, when you had no outdated packages, the loader would just disappear and it might look like something broke.
#NeoFinder 8.5 improves #cataloging of MKV videos by reading additional #metadata, such as an embedded cover art, or film related information, such as artist, or year data.
This had already worked for more common #movie container formats, such as MOV and MP4, but now for #mkv containers and others.
Finishing the last little bit of Minders for iOS (and an update for the Mac app).
I love/hate that I'm a stickler for little UI details because they always take up more time than you expect at the very end. I just can't help but try to make them perfect, but there are so many details to cover. #iosdev#macdev
Does #Xcode ever randomly get rid of the “Quit" option for anyone else?
I've been working through a #SwiftUI course, and, about once per week, I'll reach a state where Xcode won't allow me to quit it, the menu option is grayed out, and I have to Force Quit it from the Task Manager.
Who's ready to maintain a privacy manifest in SwiftPM repos now? It may be tricky for "swift wrappers".
"Third-party SDKs that impact user privacy will be expected to include a privacy manifest and signature, and starting in Spring 2024, new and updated apps that include these third-party SDKs will need to include their manifest and signature to submit to the App Store." #iOSDev#macdev#appleDev
ok, #iosDev#macDev#appleDev friends... I'm trying to figure out why my key view loop within some swiftUI views (embedded in a hosting view) will generate a correct forward key view loop, but not a backwards one. Anyone fought & slain this bug?? #helpPlz#work
The built-in #video#converter in #NeoFinder 8.5 can now "pass-through" both or either Video and Audio, to move the selected data unchanged to the exported movie file.
Check out the NeoFinder Users Guide for more details!
