The git master of #Gajim by @gajim gets better and better. Now there are not only message reactions and message replies, but also an easy way to record and send voice messages! The next release will be amazing!
It is already in #Debian experimental for those who like to try it. Note, that the database gets migrated, so make a backup before running the new version!
Solo restan 4 cadenas por traducir, pero la verdad es que sin ningún dispositivo de Apple en la mano se hace muy difícil entender el contexto para hacer la traducción correcta de ciertas cadenas.
Aún así, logré que el Español (Latinoamérica) sea el cuarto lenguaje en alcanzar (casi) el 100% de su traducción 😊

@tennoseremel fair enough if we're talking app level, but you can't just download and install "the Jabber app". What we're trying to sell is the entire concept of federation, etc., which I think might be easier if we say "they're compatible with e-chat. Like y'know, with e-mail but for chat?"
(Not saying it's a silver bullet or anything of course but it might be worth a try?)
@christian@larma We (The XSF / People who write and implement XEPs) have a tendency to wait with advancing a XEP to stable until we have sufficient implementation experience.
Your question (which matters more for end users) should be: Why hasn't this been implemented?
Implementing reactions is not as straight as it might seem. Both #Conversations_im and #Gajim wanted to rewrite the database layer to accommodate this feature. On the Conversations side we also wanted to rework the UI before this.
