Exploring Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, I walk a lot even though it is very hot and the humidity is exhausting.
Especially the old streets are pure eye-candy when it comes to architecture and details. Nowadays I only take photos with my phone, I sold the Nikon. Sometimes I miss my DSLR.

Good morning tooting friends. Lovely day yesterday wandering Yarrawongas foreshore & main streets with my friend. We were trying to find somewhere for lunch & came across a tiny gated alley way with sign out front advertising homemade foods, so down we went & there was a lovely grassed area with tables & chairs, a few small raised garden beds & a little building where the food was prepared & sold & it was just lovely. I had house made tomato soup with toast & my friend had pumpkin risotto. Absolutely delicious & reasonably priced. Hidden gem. Obviously popular with locals as within half an hour of arriving there the place was full. #Holiday#Exploring
Ranger Sarah with the colorful Paria Mountains. The mountains comprise various sedimentary rock layers, each representing different geological periods. These layers have been deposited over 85 million years, creating a rich tapestry of colors and textures.

Ranger Sarah with another amazing view of the Rainbow Mountains. The vivid hues are attributed to the encrustation of iron oxides, manganese, cobalt, and others. These minerals have leached into the rock layers over time, staining them with shades of red, purple, yellow, and blue.

On Organicmaps, we stumbled upon a sign for an attraction that claimed "stairs to the roof." We didn't trust that it would be remarkable, but it had to be checked out. In the middle of a bazaar, we turned into a stair hall and took the rusty stairs up until we really reached the roof. Wooow! This made my day! It was fantastic. The feeling while walking upstairs like it was the most normal thing, discovering a secret spot, the fact that nobody else was there, and the breathtaking view, so cool and really unforgettable! Even the snow-covered mountains visible on the horizon amazed me.
