Some #MechanicalKeyboard fans are celebrating the 40th day of year with #40sDay and photos of their keyboards that are 40% or less the size of a full size keeb.
Here’s my Unicorne by Boardsource and a custom cable by MechCables. Each half of the keyboard includes a joystick.
Finally finished the soldering and everything seems to work! Just couldn't test the stereo piezo buzzers yet, will need to write the QMK firmware first... In the meantime, here are the source and production files: https://github.com/kilipan/teenspirit
Keyboard arrived. Very impressed with the build on first inspection and glad I decided to stray from trusty black. The wood palm rests are super comfortable. There is going to be a bit of a learning curve and muscle memory shift from my HHKB Pro and I can see I will probably need to do some remapping for #emacs use. Thanks @ttscoff and @curtismchale for information on this before I ordered. #keyboard#ergomechkeyboards
The chair’s cover has a zipper underneath, and it just occurred to me I could stick magnets in the arms, under the fabric, so my keyboard can attach to the chair. 🎉
Got myself some of Pseudoku's Liminal Chimera caps (printed in gray MJF by JLCPCB) and now I can finally use my KS-33 zilpzalp without the caps interfering with either the switches or the plate...
