I've already rescued my garbage can down the street, typed a long good morning message, and poof, it was dark again.
Come daylight, I'll have to inspect for damages.
My phone is charged, and I have a book, I can wait this out.
There was some heavy rain, I thought I heard thunder, with strong winds that banged things around, I was still trying to sleep, but now, I've given up.
Unless things freeze up, this might be a good day for my once-a-week run, get some groceries, pharmacy, gas up (before a price drops) & then I'm just going to poke holes in the snow. There's a lot of water under the snow, out back. I'll probably get wet feet, but I want to make a path to the compost bin.

The rain here didn't do much, except make the snow heavy and compact, when the freeze happens, it will be forever as ice banks . It doesn't even seem to be raining now. I have to go to ensure things don't freeze in place.
Yes, it was j ust before 4:20 am today, but I just got my office setup and logged in. We have a big rainfall warning today. .I'll be mitigating flooding risks soon.

I was (as predicted) awake since midnight. But, I got almost through my book, when I decided to turn on the computer, pause my book and answer some replies..

Last winter, I tried everything to do night photos in winter, the camera froze and so did I.
6 hours of video,? Ain't Nobody Got Time For That! But if you take 1000 photos and stitch them together, and speed it up a little, this is the effect you get. Looks just OK on a PC screen.
