I manage my #tasks in #thunderbird with #baikal and #caldav as the backend and the #userexperience in Thunderbird is rough. I am thinking of switching to plain #markdown and #git to make managing my tasks more enjoyable.

1/2 I currently use a very good but still somewhat limited (also in terms of performance) shared #hosting service from Switzerland. I #selfhost #nextcloud #baikal, #linkace and others. In the future I'd like to self host #bitwarden, #matrix, #gitlab and #mastodon as well.

So, I estimate that running my server from my home connection would cost me about 30€ per month in power consumption, my existing server is 31,33€ per month. Hm, not sure if it's worth the lower upload-bandwidth.
