My last novel did very well on AO3. R18 sells there.
My current novel is doing much better on PIXIV. Next couple of EP I am going to test why I think that is.
Instead of letting me go, she said, “You shouldn’t. That’s a graveyard and she’s dead.”
Everyone said that, but it was a mistake. I had seen Mikawa, and she was definitely alive. Why wouldn’t Ume let me go? All I wanted to do was be with my girlfriend. Did this damn bitch think I would go with her when I had Mika?
“Fuck you,” I said and tried to get away. “She’s waiting. Mika is waiting.”
A slice-of-life character sketch developing Kan-chan as a character a year after the close of “My Girlfriend Almost Got Me Killed.” An altered version of this may appear in “For Love of a Konbini Idol.” Please regard this story as an AU and not canon.
By the way, it is a shaggy dog story. There isn’t a point to it, but I talk a lot about a dog, Tomino.
I wish fandom had migrated elsewhere the first time Bumblr decided to alienate a big chunk of its userbase in 2018.
Instead, half of fandom (me included) clung to Tumblr while the rest scattered to Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord. Fan spaces became increasingly insular and inaccessible. Twitter allowed NSFW, sure, but it was already a Nazi bar, and an algorithm-fed drama generator. Now it's a Nazi-owned fascism generator, and so many people are still there.
Added AO3 to Libreture's list of DRM-free bookshops! 💜

After one long lasting and heated kiss, Richard moves away slowly. But never breaks eye contact. The passionate elecrtricity in the air, theough the heat of their bodies. Richard stands stands before Linus at the foot of the bed.
"Before we begin you must know that there is no turning back. I need your undevided devotion, and I will be yours forever."
- "Anything for you" says Linus
Richard turns his back towards Linus and begins to slowly unbutton his shirt as it slides down off each shoulder revealing a tattoo collage of different versions of Tux, the cartoon linux penguin mascot in various sexually compromising positions. Linus had never seen anything that made him feel so primal.

AO3 (Archive Of Our Own)にある小説コンテンツは、パソコンでもスマホでもダウンロードしてオフラインで読めます。
I have published a short story called Preludes. It's about a Prince of Amber who is pursued by a devilish mist and must convince a knight to help him so they can both escape.
So the flow-through rate for AO3 is much higher than Wattpad. Even my banal little fanfic is generating hits, which just doesn't happen on Wattpad unless you manage to hit the zeitgeist wave.
omg, a new feature that #AO3 introduced and i never heard about - muting! You can stop that one author (whoever it might be for you) from showing up in search results!
A year ago @tikli looked into the most popular #OFMD ship tags on #AO3.
Because comparing data is fun, there's now a follow-up / rerun study so that we can see how things have changed since last year. The new data sets are from 30 August and 29 November 2023.
MGSX - Metal Gear Solid Exchange is an exchange geared toward any kink, any ship, any scenario, so long as it is Metal Gear! And we are back for round 2!
Final update on daily number of new single chapter fics under the #OFMD tag on #AO3 during the July-October observation period in 2022 and 2023. The cumulative number of single chapter fics in 2023 was 5.4% less than in 2022.
The new season did push the numbers up. 55% of 2023 fics were posted in October, compared to 34% of 2022 fics.
The highest daily number of fics was 102 on the day the final episode of S2 aired (26 Oct 2023).
I spend more energy on telling myself not to go and check on Archive Of Our Own than I would spend on endlessly refreshing it to count hits.
I don't write for validation (obviously or I wouldn't have so many finished works sitting in folders) but somehow once I post, I desperately want people to like it.
