Killing For Revenge
Death metal's scary, weird uncle is back again. SIX FEET UNDER have been a resolute force for heaviness and horror for over 30 years now, and despite all the lineup changes that have threatened to pull the band into the grave, frontman Chris Barnes (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE, as if you didn't know!) has ke...

Banished By Sin
Satan be praised. Uncle Glen is back. DEICIDE were always special. The rabid, vitriolic embodiment of everything that made death metal destructive and dangerous, the Floridian legends were the genre's most notorious band. Still to this day, those first three albums beat the living crap out of just a...

Saw there's a new Pearl Jam album the other day, so figured I'd give it a crack.

Stopped it after about five songs because I realised I wasn't actually listening to it.

The Mandrake Project
26 years ago, Bruce Dickinson released one of the greatest metal albums of the '90s. It was called "The Chemical Wedding", and it was seriously fucking heavy. Sandwiched between 1997's similarly monstrous "Accident Of Birth" and 2005's diverse and dynamic "Tyranny Of Souls", the IRON MAIDEN frontman...

If an album normally included on the greatest LP's of all time type lists can be underrated it is this one.

Not as good as exile (but what is?)

Can't you hear me knocking one hell of a groove and might be their best song.

The country ballads wild horses, sister morphine and dead flowers are strangely emotive and ironic all at once.

The song I got the blues I haven't seen mentioned as a standout stones track and damn if that ain't a mistake.

The Dying Planet Weeps
Death metal fans are spoilt for choice these days.
