@info A while ago I wrote about the Insta-famous blue door in Venice, and this is where I found the first clues.
The "Curiosità Veneziane" by Giuseppe Tassini is a treasure trove of information about Venice before the 1900s. The first editions, from 1863 and 1872, are digitised and online.
The Italian is a bit archaic but perfectly understandable.
I took this in 2022 at Saint Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) in Venice. St. Mark's Basilica traces its origins back to the year 828 AD when the revered Saint Mark relics were either transported or, regrettably, misappropriated from Alexandria. A bad fire swept through the edifice in 976, but by 978, the church was reconstructed.

I was lucky enough to meet this absolute beauty today. Her name is Bianca, and I have fallen instantly in love with her.
