Some nine and a half years after a #Motorcycle accident that put me hospital and wrote off my beautiful #Triumph the yearning to get back on two wheels has hit hard.
Fellow #MotoGuzzi#motorcycle owners will probably disown me (🤣) but I downsized and traded in my 2015 Guzzi. Opted for a smaller, lighter ride and huge boost in MPG with a 2024 #Triumph Speed 400.
Was considering a #RoyalEnfield Hunter 350 but for the extra $1,000, I think you get a lot more in the Speed 400. I will miss the unique, analog character of the Guzzi for sure, however.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is really growing on me now that we can see it without that ugly Tron-esque livery. Now it looks even better than the Super Meteor!
I wonder if they'll move the USB port to a more sensible location (the handlebars)? It'd also be nice to see a centred speedo with no tripper, but I'm not expecting that.
Ok, so my morning of reading with the dogs led to me feeling bad, so I went shopping for the family. After that it was garage time servicing the #RoyalEnfield.
Came across this photo while having a tidy up. Enfield 350 Bullet from around 1990. I rebuilt it after being written off in an accident (once I'd also recovered).
Money being tight - solo seat made out of the metal from a coal shed covered in camping mattress foam and a bicycle rack behind it. I think the exhaust was off an Arial with some chicken wire stuffed in it.
So I thought I would see what the talk was about and got myself a #royalenfield#himalayan#motorcycle#motorbike and after 2 days to do the 500km run in can report it totally rocks! Great fun and a smile a minute… mud optional but strongly recommended @Valheru@SeaFury
