“V-J Day in Times Square, Kobra's colorful edition”
Eduardo Kobra painted these stunning murals on 25th Street at 10th Avenue in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New-York City.
The top mural takes inspiration from Alfred Eisenstaedt’s iconic photo of a U.S. Navy sailor grabbing and kissing a nurse on V-J Day in Times Square in New York City. The photo symbolizes the triumph of love over war and how America found relief in the silence of the guns after Japan's surrender on August 15, 1945.
Sadly, these two people were complete strangers, and the sailor was drunk, making this photo a symbol of The Selective Blindness of Rape Culture.

Unfortunately, these murals have been painted over by the building owner.
This diorama is just a small glimpse of the vast amount of Iron Man models seen in the various movies of the Marvel universe, and reproduced with incredible detail in 1/6th size by Hot Toys Limited, one of the world's best manufacturers of collectible action figures, including iconic movie characters (Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Terminator, etc.), in Hong Kong.
If you have the chance to visit this amazing city, don't miss the Hot Toys Secret Base, a showroom hidden from the uninitiated in the 20th floor of a huge building, resembling the interior of a spaceship. It's also a store, but only a few models are for sale on the spot, as pre-bookings must be made sometimes more than a year in advance!
The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United States from the people of France. It is an icon of freedom and of the United States, and was a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad.

The storms from this week on the island presaged an energetic farewell and that’s exactly how it went. The lightning symbol of the party rocked harder than ever in the Main Room of Space Ibiza.
The duo DubVision known for their track “All By Myself” knew how to warm up the crowd for the arrival of the peak moment of the season: the extended set by Ferry Corsten. The two DJs were able to engage the audience with their EDM sound that was overwhelmed by aggressive beats that added to the expulsion of CO2 smoke that shook the dance floor. With an enthusiastic audience, Corsten had it easy to follow the path set by his peers.

2 years later, following the announcement of Pepe Rosello's retirement, the Space was put up for sale and then bought by the Matutes group, owner of the Ushuaïa, which made it disappear at the end of the 2016 summer season.
