Though I've been playing #Palworld for a while, this is the first time I've sat down to write about it. I know there are some nay-sayers, but I've found quite a bit to enjoy in this game!
I haven’t done a link post for a while, so this one is a bit bigger than usual. Maybe I should imply in the title that it’s some monthly thing instead of weekly. On the other hand I might just miss a self-set monthly deadline as well.
After the weekend off, I’m back on my Octopath Traveler 2 bullshit. This time, a new focused approach. Going to do just the 4 characters, finish their stories, then do the other 4. Less to manage, less disjointed, more focused.
I've been contacted by a law student in Seattle. She's writing a law review note on the #OGL and following in my footsteps by discussing the rarely-discussed concept of #copyright misuse. She's citing my work and, I hope, adding more to the argument. I hope this is a trend. More information is better, but I'm tired of arguing about it. #DnD#RPG#TTRPG#WotC
MANY years ago, I backed a #Kickstarter for a set of dwarven #Miniatures. They've always been a lower priority than everything else. But tonight, I came really close to finishing one of the best from the set -- the Undead Dwarf.
This is without washes, but with a rust effect on his armor. Next stop: #ArmyPainter Soft Tone for the bones and Dark Tone for everything else. Then #Valleo Matte Varnish.
Been thinking about rivers on maps in fantasy games. (hat tip to @kensanata ) Most fantasy maps show just a couple of rivers. But water is everywhere in the real world. This colorful map of England's rivers gives a hint. So making rivers on a fantasy map becomes a question of how much fidelity you want to portray.
So #Gamers & #JRPG fans... I'm struggling with Octopath Traveler 2. I can handle random battles, but that combined with super disjointed stories & very restrictive party management is making the game less fun and more burdensome and/or disruptive.
I'm thinking of switching (pun intended) to Terra Memoria for a fun, cozy experience.
You can finish and become rich in #SimFarm. But as a Forever28, you can't duplicate your success.
You can win every single game of #CaesarIII and #CaesarIV, but not as a Forever28.
You play #Diablo (the original) without cheating (especially the duplicate cheat). As a Forever28, you can't even imagine how you played Diablo without cheating.
Most important of all: you still don't like #eyecandy games. Games like #MUD / #MUSH (text-based online #RPG), #roguelike, dungeon crawlers, and isometric games, are still your go to #games.
The pill-box keychain filled with pill-sized dice is going to be on my person all the time. And for "formal occasions" (like gaming conventions) the pendant filled with them will be around my neck and ready for action.
Sinon, je suis actuellement en train de refaire la carte physique d'Eldoran, monde imaginaire abritant la cité volante d'Argona.
Sur l'image, je débute les reliefs du continent de Norumbega.
And I'm currently working on a new version of a map of Eldoran, fantasy world hosting the flying city of Argona.
I'm starting the shaded reliefs of the continent of Norumbega.
