Expanded a bunch on my Fresh-Install Fedora Setup Guide this morning! If you've recently installed #Fedora and hope to do some #gaming (particularly on an #Nvidia card), or maybe setup your RGB devices, then give this guide a look. 😁
@drewdevault I like what Alpine is doing, but I haven't used it on desktop systems. I mainly know about it from #postmarketOS which I've been running on various phones for a few years now on and off. Now daily driving it on my PinePhone Pro. Overall I'm happy with it there. Using musl does lead to some discrepancies though. I've run into some situations where #OpenRGB has been broken on Alpine and gone unnoticed as it built and worked fine on glibc based distros.
Omg the latest stable #OpenRGB and plugin updates are rad! Once I get my DSLR charged up, I'll have to try to get a video of my new effects, cause it's beautiful and my phone camera does it no justice. 🤙
HYTE sent me some stuff! After they came out in support of #openpleb they provided documentation for the HYTE CNVS mousemat and sent me samples for #OpenRGB development! I explain why documentation is awesome in this video:
To be frank, it seems even hard to just find any keyboard in that form factor. I also see something about QMK firmware compatible keyboards, but I'm not sure how involved that process is, assuming you can find a compatible board in the first place....
Learn how to reverse engineer USB hardware - you could even contribute towards #OpenRGB or make your own drivers for things that don't have them (or to contribute towards existing OSS drivers)
@gamingonlinux Windows 11 is trash, but the hardware looks great. I ended up preordering one because I want to get it supported in #OpenRGB and then try out some form of SteamOS UI Linux on it. Love the Steam Deck and plan to keep using mine, but the specs here are impressive and it has RGB.
Are there any 75% (compact TKL) keyboards with OpenRGB support?
