$5.61B —> That’s a $190k increase in yearly pay (or even a one time bonus) for each and every teacher in Oregon’s public schools. (Assuming it all went straight to teachers).
But even if it didn’t - don’t tell me your average teacher wouldn’t take a say $40k (or more) increase every year (or even a one time payment)? And doing that would take less than $1.2B.
And here I am voting yes for local taxes to renew teacher funding.
