Hey Mastodon! We're officially choosing to fork away from #Fandom for a variety of reasons, including excessive #advertising, a bloated platform, the #Grimace / #McDonaldsWiki controversy, and general dissatisfaction with the UI, UX, and DevEx of Fandom's platform.
The administration of the wiki is currently discussing what comes next.
:boost_ok: Boosts are greatly appreciated; we do not have a lot of publicity.
For those who don't know, we are a wiki which aims to document as much modded Minecraft content as possible (FTB or not).
Feed The Beast has offered to host our wiki on their servers. This is good timing, as many of our editors have become dissatisfied with #Fandom in general.
Here are some #Minecraft mods (Fabric/Quilt) that I use for a semi-vanilla experience, primarily for servers I frequent. (Thread!) #ModdedMinecraft
3D Skin Layers - What it says on the tin! Makes the 2nd layer on player skins 3D instead of flat. (Visual)
Animatica - Implements Optifine's animated texture format for Fabric users. (Optifine feature)
Axolotl Buckets - There's probably a resource pack for this, but I'm too lazy to go find it. Makes axolotls in buckets match their actual color. (Visual)
Better Statistics Screen - Makes the Statistics screen have a nicer, fresher layout. (GUI)
BetterF3 - Improves F3 menu. (GUI)
Capes - Lets you have custom capes for your character. (Visual)
Cherished Worlds - Lets you favorite worlds and servers. (GUI)
CIT Resewn - Implements custom item textures from Optifine into Fabric instances. (Optifine feature)
Colorful Hearts - Makes extra health beyond the usual 10 hearts stack on top of the original healthbar in a different color. (GUI)
ALERT to all modded Minecraft players: a malware called "fractureiser" is spreading through seemingly clean .jar files as early as last April. Lots of major mods on Curseforge and Bukkit were compromised and are now spreading the malware.
