Indexing of #HECS fees is totally disgusting - especially when we collect more money from HECS fees than from the Petroleum Rent Resources Tax ((PRRT) - Gough must be turning in his grave.

Australia Institute: In 2005-06 the avge #HECS debt for people in their 20s was $12,557.

Inflation since then has risen 57%, but the avge debt has gone up 145%.

That's $11,200 of extra debt now compared to then - & it will only get worse.
