Well my #cyberpunk2020 game didn't happen tonight. Earlier today I forgot to take blood sugar meds AND wasn't paying attention to what I was eating and drinking. So I ended up spiking really hard and almost ended up on the floor. Finally when it start dropping it dropped fast and I would have crashed even harder except for my wife making me eat pretty much straight protein to help slow it down. But it wrung me out pretty good.
#Planescape is doing a belly flop in sales. #Cyberpunk2020 we are having to order four copies of every three weeks, for an old game that's really good. Have two more groups at the shop running #Pathfinder 2e now. #MagicTheGathering is not doing well with only Dr Who really selling after the last two releases flopped here. #Wh40k is doing bang up business. Finally have a small group doing #Battletech each week now.
Here is the recap of session five of my #cyberpunk2020 game. The squad that can't catch a break continues in their attempt to navigate across the US to deliver a living package to Night City. #cyberpunk#ttrpg
I write it all. From a lot of original works, to long ongoing RP stories, to deep and insightful fanfiction that my friends thankfully love. I have Doctor Who stories published as well. I have a following on Archive of Our Own. My best friends (who I met elsewhere) are @strangeseawolf, @QuokkaMocha, @doctorwanderer, and @DoctorMonkey2. I have a paranormal podcast too! (Link on profile!)
It's the #cyberpunk story I'm using for the #WordWeavers hashtag. I've written my MC for so long, from #CyberpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020, to RPing him (which I still do), and to now embarking on a full-blown novel.
#WritersCoffeeClub 12.14 — What's the biggest edit you've made to your work?
Oh, gosh. I've done a vast amount of editing to everything I've ever written.
I completely rewrote my #Unbound story, but I'm not sure if that counts.
I've also changed gigantic parts of #TheCityOfOpulence as well. I think that's the answer I'll go with here. That story has evolved so much over the years. I took my character from #CyerpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020 and made an original #SFF universe for him. I love it.
For #WordWeavers tomorrow, I think I'm going to be working on a new #cyberpunk story. The MC is an original character that I've been writing for a very long time and in so many different stories. I used to RP him with friends, and still avidly do in a number of fantastic stories, but I decided to finally start a long novel with him. He originated from #CyberpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020, tabletop RPG's / #TTRPG's. I've written him over every imaginable medium.
My new #cyberpunk story has arrived. I feel like I've threatened to do this for years. I'm sharing it with the #WritingCommunity and those in #WordWeavers. It's the story I'm using for the hashtag. It's in my thread of questions. I've written him for so long, from #CyberpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020, to RPing him (which I still do), to now embarking on a full-blown novel.
#WordWeavers 9.4 — Does your antagonist have a chance to become a better person?
I'm going to answer this from the protagonist's side of things. There's a reason. Most days, people would think HE was the antagonist. The Midnight City Police Department and the Angel of Death, both of whom I have mentioned in this thread, are (mostly) irredeemable.
Alexios does have the chance to become a better person. He might just in this story. In #CyberpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020 stories, he did. ~ (1/3)
~ #Cyberpunk2020, all are. Although my world is a different and completely original one, the way that #cyberpunk universes work is essentially the same over any medium and story. The mechanics are the same, the way that the world has become such a dystopian future and is such a dark one is all the same. Alexios is one example of so many souls who've seen trauma and have had to live it. They're SURVIVORS. (3/3)
Oh, that would have been #DasSchwarzeAuge / #TheDarkEye back in 1998/99 or so.
3rd edition I believe. One of the solo Adventures that came with the Starter Box.
The first one with an GM would have been #cyberpunk2020 somewhen around 2001 I guess.
The first one I ever have been GM'ing was #DasSchwarzeAuge / #TheDarkEye the group Adventure that came with the Starter Box back in 1999
Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're pretty likely to either talk about or respond to if you see them.
This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.
Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.
#PennedPossibilities 1 — Intro Day: What does your MC think they are destined for in this life?
Randall is a newsman, a dedicated journalist. He's destined to bring news stories to life, to shed light to the darkness in the world for others to see. He believes in nothing else. He's so passionate.
For this question, I'll be mentioning my original WIP that I use for #WordWeavers, if only because it's something of MINE. It's called #TheCityOfOpulence. I'm in love with #cyberpunk work. I played #Cyberpunk2020 and #CyberpunkRED growing up. It's a genre I've always loved. Films, shows, games, all of it. It's influenced me over the years in my writing. The TTRPG's I mentioned were where Alexios was born. :cybre_heart_pink:
