this piece was kind of cursed......... and took days of throwing it all out and redoing it, but it ended up really pretty so it was definitely worth it ^^
*So last minute that it is already 4th. I tried before midnight but the stupid mastodon client on the iPad did not want to connect and passing it to the laptop took me some minutes.
Today I'm starting early (04: 31) with my #Oddtober contribution.
#Cerberus
The three headed dog, a creature that has been shown in all manners of its cursed existence ... except (maybe) one... hope you brought a bag.
tai: when kit's playing with his rope we just go and read stuff on our phone or watch some TV! it's kinda relaxing though...
kit: sometimes i just need to get rid of all my extra energy ^^; i got a lot of different toys to play with for that reason. it's most fun when we play together though!
hiya!! from left to right, we are kit, tai and ike! we're a husky cerberus!
KIT: "i'm kit! :3 i love tennis balls and i love food and i love playing fetch! without me my brothers wouldn't have any fun in their entire lives for sure!"
TAI: "and i'm tai! i love to research and learn stuff, and i have the most focus of my brothers >:3"
IKE: "zzzzzzz....... oh.. i'm ike! i'm the creative one and have a great memory, and my brothers can always rely on me for my support ^^"
expect to see lots of art about our daily life with 3 heads ^^ and you can also send us asks over on cohost:
So, a few years ago, a post was going around (on Tumblr I think), where someone stated that the linguistic root of "Cerberus" translates to "Spot" or somesuch and painted a cute scenario in which Hades named the dread dog of Hell Spot.
I was absolutely infatuated with the idea and painted this - only once I'd finished it did I think to google the Cerberus = Spot thing and immediately figured out that it isn't true 🤣 still, here's some puppy Cerberus!
