I have a whole to-do list after listening to it on repeat. 😅 This will fit on one side of the cassette, which leaves Side B free for all of the original tracks without the dialogue and my screwing them up, lol. The intention is for people to make mixtapes and remixes of any and everything on the album.
The whole album will be releaded under a CC-BY-SA 4.0 creative commons license to enable this.
Just remembered how fun it was to make my Bonkwave track and got really excited for Volume 2 from Bonk Knob Records.
I’m so pumped to be a part of it and to hear everyone’s tracks.
My little 2 minute track using @etherdiver badass 1 minute song will be the first time that something I made will be next to other artist's on something more official than a soundcloud playlist.
A sneak peak would be listening to the original track that I converted to a #BonkWave#AudioCollage
I made some changes to the track based on the writings from the Third Chinese Patriarch. The track is still a palindrome, music and all. What do you think?
Franco or Putin?
:thinkSpin:
"Pain pervades not only your life as a politician and soldier, but even your recreation. You paint shipwrecks; your favorite sport is slaughtering rabbits, doves, fish. Your biography is full of corpses…in Africa, in Asturias, during the Civil War and after…an entire life covered with the decay of death. I picture you surrounded by legless doves, black mourning garlands, dreams that chill the blood, death."
I've talked about the idea of #HeirloomFiction before because writing was the first method that I considered.
Instead, I think that I'd like to promote the idea of #HeirloomArt. This includes writing a piece of Heirloom Fiction, but could also include music, paintings or other visual art.
I'm starting to see the #ArtFED#AudioCollage album included in this. The themes and topics are all things that I would like to pass on in perpetuity.
I think of the music in the collage as the overwhelming confluence of capitalism, fascism & apathy trying to drown out the lone voice crying out their truth.
I have a #PublicDomain and/or #FairUse question. I know that this is a mirky subject, but what are your thoughts?
Are the words that a comedian says in a routine protected and/or copyrighted?
I'm not interested in using the actual audio, but I would like to incorporate some Bill Hicks bits into an #antifascist#AudioCollage#ccmusic project that #ArtFED is working on. They will probably be generated by text-to-speech.
In tonight's #ModularTransmission, a vintage scifi radio show is put through a somewhat insane lens composed of the #Schlappi Interstellar Radio and #MakeNoise Morphagene.
