NOAA: A dangerous early season heat wave will cointue over South Texas, and intensify in South Florida, through Memorial Day. Record warm overnight temperatures in these areas will provide little to no relief to those without adequate or reliable cooling.
Heat impacts are likely to be highest in South Texas, where heat index readings approaching or exceeding 115 degrees are expected.

From Dr Reed Timmer on YouTube: Live storm chasing returns Monday afternoon and overnight with #Tornado potential returning to Dixie alley. I would not be surprised if this is upgraded to an enhanced risk.

"The short-fused Moderate Risk with the Special update this morning has been dialed back a bit as the primary feature, the MCS over northern MS/AL has bowed out and is now aligned perpendicular to the flow, a pattern that should keep flooding potential associated directly therewith to a minimum. However, in those areas where heavy rains move over areas hit hard just a few hours ago by training convection across north-central AL, renewed flash flooding is possible."
