Aldi, Music prices in late 1980’s
• #Records $7.99 - $12.99/Budget $4.99 - $9.99
• #Cassettes $6.99 - $9.99/Budget $3.99 - $5.99
• #CompactDiscs $14.99 - $18.99/Budget $7.99 - $11.99That’s the reason why I don’t accept today’s prices. So absurd.
Single records prices in late 1980’s:
• 7” vinyl 45rpm $1.99 - $3.99/Budget $0.99 - $1.99
• Cassette Single $1.99 - $3.99/Budget $0.99 - $2.99And in late 1990’s prices were inflated: had the same cost as an full-length album.
The the records companies complained about piracy. Seriously that’s so ironic.
Seen from an artist at their site today:
• Vinyl record: $39.99 - $49.99
• Cassette: $34.99
• Compact Disc: $ 16.99 - $19.99The problem today: not only the prices are ridiculously high, but they are uneven.
Prices of the records in my country today:
• Vinyl record: $84.99 and up
• Cassette: $37.99 and up
• Compact Disc: $37.99 approximatelyThat’s a big insult to the music lover.
