16 & 17 y/o are the ones most affected by political decisions made by people like this councillor. They are old enough to raise a baby, get married, learn to drive, join the army, be held criminally responsible…. They are old enough to vote. @irelandpolitics @ukpolitics

I feel quite neutral on the question of whether the voting age should be 16 or 18 - but I think this councilor puts forward a powerful argument for 16, because whet we need in politics is much more 'youthful idealism'.

As to people being exploited, he's in no position to judge, as his allegiance to the DUP is proof enough of his own naivety.

The #dup are looking for pie in the sky. Strikes haven’t given hard working staff any worthwhile pay rise. Westminster is clear ‘there’s no money’ unless you are a billionaire. This is another fudge to stay out of Stormont until the next GE.
