AI experts at leading universities favor creating a federal "Department of AI" or a global regulator to govern artificial intelligence over leaving that to Congress, the White House or the private sector.
Too bad the governing bodies literally can’t understand the technology or its implications, because its beyond the scope of what thier brain plasticity can handle at this point… so good luck making laws for it in time for it to matter; it’s already pretty much too late tbh.
