@aburtch@Defiance overall I agree, but WandaVision was a huge deal and it's still one of their most successful ventures, and the Agatha show has been very very highly anticipated, though who knows if that's lasted thru the delay, so this one has long been a no brainer imo.
@aburtch@Defiance the character was very poorly introduced in the Hawkeye series which I thought stunk end to end. The only reason I started watching Echo was for D'Onofrio but I found it to be top tier MCU. Having multiple Choctaw writers involved helped it a lot. And D'Onofrio's Kingpin is immediately the most compelling character in the MCU just as he was in the Netflix verse, which if they're smart should help them navigate the choppy waters in the Kang storyline.
@mrcompletely@aburtch@Defiance Interesting. We might’ve debated this before, but I actually loved Hawkeye. There wasn’t much depth to the story, but I thought they nailed the vibe and tone. It was simply fun and enjoyable.
@blueemu@chopaganda@rowjimmy@aburtch@Defiance well, everything with Kingpin in it was great. But overall I thought it had the weakest script and especially acting of any MCU series to date (the Ms Marvel scripts were awful but the actors were charismatic and watchable).

@thesizzler@chopaganda@aburtch@Defiance fraction is a mixed bag for me. He works too much and a lot of his writing feels rushed and by the numbers to me but when he's good he's great. Haven't read that series though I've heard it's good, mostly out of lack of interest in the character
@mrcompletely@aburtch@Defiance I would watch a show that was just the routine days in the life of kingpin, making that breakfast, staring at his awesome painting, occasional emotional monologue, couple of rounds in the ring with daredevil… D’Onofrio!
