If you are in the middle of learning right now: enjoy every moment of it!

I promise, you'll look back at that time with great joy and delight. ✨

vilcans,

@janriemer For me it's kind of the opposite. In the beginning, trying to code in Rust meant bumping into issues in unexpected places all the time. Now that I intuitively know where these places are, and knowing how to structure the code the Rust way, I enjoy it more. (I did like learning it but now that I know it better I enjoy Rust more.)

janriemer,

@vilcans Yes, I know what you mean. 🙂

What I had in mind with the original post was that there is all this non-stop curiosity, newness and light-bulb moments during the first months of learning Rust.🤓

vilcans,

@janriemer Yes, there are! 😀 Maybe it's me getting old and slow, but I can't remember ever being frustrated like that when learning a new language before. That also shows that Rust is truly different, not just another syntax for the same thing.
