Actually it's been better than a good day. It's been a real treasure to have the luxury of a slow schedule (cloudy weather is a blessing sometimes!) and time to just stand in the bush and take it all in.

Having this macro lens is really opening my eyes to the beauty in the detail. Checkout this Mulla Mulla when you zoom in 100% to the raw file.

I have to share one more. This lovely lizard is a Long-nose Dragon (doing a little "hot rock dance" and lifting his legs alternately) was tricky to get close enough for the 105mm. But then I look at the detail and I cannot believe it. My eyes can't see any of this without the camera!

Also saw a fire-tailed skink in the wild today but was too slow to photograph that one :)

When I crop in on the shot I cannot believe the detail this camera captures. I've done a lot of wildlife photography in the past, but this macro lens has floored me.

I love the pink rocks and shade of silvery green and blue that grow amongst it.
Did get out the macro again, looking for soft tones and the odd flower.
