@niklas@danimo Right now I got ESP32-S3 on USB-C for USB in and then from ESP to 3x RS232 ICs (cause it can do 3x UART and its pretty cheap). Made more sense to me than USB to UART cause then you have the choice between USB control and network control and could translate to more common standards directly if you want.
Then pluggable terminal and barrel jack for power in.
Was thinking about PoE but the higher wattage standards get quite pricey.
