@RickiTarr As a Gen Alpha kid put it to me, "Rock is out of the mainstream. When I hear it, it's what people your age listen to on ads I know aren't meant for people my age. Classic Rock means nothing to us because that describes all rock music as far as we care."

I could shake my fist at it, or I can try to understand it. Rock isn't the language of rebellion to the young anymore. Why use your parents favorite genre to try to disassociate yourself from prior generations? There is a bit of sense in that.

"So what do you listen to that upsets your parents?"

"I'm not a big music fan."

If that was my kid, that would do it.
