Modern JavaScript sure has some weird syntax. :blobfoxthinkgoogly:

lifts,

@tk That’s because it’s a mass hallucination, it isn’t actually there.

@lifts JavaScript isn't real. It can't hurt you. :blobfoxthinksmart:

@tk I actually like it now, it's a lot better than old javascript syntax for things like object orientation.

well, typscript, truthfully

@sun Yeah, I don't have any qualms with it. It's just foreign, at least for now. :geblobcatshrug:

@tk the language has a lot of problems, don't get me wrong. I just think the newer syntax is a lot more readable.

@sun Kind of funny how it's following a similar trajectory to Java's. :blobfoxthink:

@sun Pretty much my only gripe is that it's hard to figure out what's actually available in a given standard library version. Working with GitHub Script and a bunch of stuff that I'm seeing in more general JavaScript documentation isn't available. :blobfoxannoyed:

@sun Also, bullshit like this, but JavaScript’s always had that kind of problem:

> x = [1] + [2, 3]
'12,3'

@tk yeah that stuff is awful
