It absolutely baffles me why all these journalists are still there.
Comments like "hardly anyone is on Mastodon" is BS. Do you have to wait for "other people" before you do the right thing?
There are lots of tactical ways you can switch. Start by linking to Mastodon posts and turning comments on Twitter off.
I feel like we are at that MLK moment, with social media and journalism. More devoted to follower numbers than free speech and social justice.

Nonsense. Only by continued engagement can any of us make a difference to that organisation. I have 37,000 followers on 'X', and I can continue to have influence through that interaction.

@dangillmor Same could be said about the (cunning) people who have enabled Fediverse on #Threads and now ONLY post from Zuck's site. And Oh! ..to 'promote' the Fediverse. Have unfollowed such people here. I recall they used to say, "Zuck enabled genocide."
