RHW, 2 months ago #CBR #belconnen A brief visit to the lake during sunshine yesterday was rewarding. There was busy bird traffic and the rain had extended the shallows. Note the ever present bold swamp hen lurking in the long grass.😊 Shoreline view of lake with tall waving grasses close up. There is a floating reed island with a long necked darter looking for fish. Several ducks swim past and a red beaked swamp hen siddles in nearby on the shore.
