@RickiTarr FB is such a shit site. After wasting hours of my life tonight trying to recover my MIL's hacked account, I have a strong urge to meet Zuckerberg into outer space.
@RickiTarr Left Facebook many years ago. In between all the spyware & terrible behavior of FB/Meta, then there’s the users. Twitter/X over time seemed worse in that department but it was enough for me to leave.
Ultimately, I have to face myself & my own conscience: I’m not subsidizing a platform’s ad revenue through my use of a site that is filled with wall-to-wall hate. I know there are some good people who’ve stayed behind on those platforms, but at this point they should leave.
@RickiTarr I feel bad for your friends who are still there. I have family who are still on there and I tell them the same. But I understand, especially families. It's why I stayed there for nearly a decade. I felt like I was going to upset them if I left, but I couldn't take it anymore. Saddest part is the posters would post memes like that are the same ones complaining about censorship on FB. And yet FB is letting them post that kind of garbage material.
