More work designing the timeline for #projecttapestry today. Pretty happy with how it’s coming, but there’s a long way to go, so many unknowns ahead. Thankfully that’s the part I enjoy the most.
Designing for #projecttapestry is like opening Pandora’s Box, except that each day there’s an entirely new box to open and inside each one are ten more boxes. 🤯
@leebennett eh, Twitterrific only had to display content from a single source that was all formatted the same. Tapestry must be able to handle widely disparate data sources in a consistent, visually appealing way. Throw in about 100 exceptions and it’s… a challenge.
Today’s the day when I think I finally got a handle on the timeline design for #projecttapestry. Still so much to do but the design of the content itself is coming along nicely. Whew!

Tapestry’s timeline has been redesigned (again). Fourth time a charm I always say. Lots of improvements and better accessibility so it was more than worth it. #ProjectTapestry
@gedeonm hahaha ok. I was slow so I didn’t get my pixel upgrade in until the third round, and I realized from the get go that my best approach was to simply try and forget about it so that it just comes as a pleasant surprise one sunny day 😊
What pose do you think works best for the portrait? I uploaded a photo at a slight angle but now thinking the straight-on pose is better suited to the output! Is there a style that works better than others?
@willcroft Straight on lends itself well but it really depends on what you want! It’s your portrait so it all depends on how you want to look and how you’ll be using it I’d say. Be sure to send us any direction notes you may have so we know what you’re after though, so we deliver what you want. Thx!
@gedeonm I’m so thrilled you think about these things and revisit / redesign as necessary. This attention to detail is what makes great software. Even if 98% of the users take it for granted, everyone benefits and some of us notice.

@Chancerubbage No, nothing to do with the app. We’ve set up a portal to deliver digital rewards for backers but apple isn’t delivering emails from us to these replay addresses properly. Something isn’t set up right on Apple’s end. No worries.
